I am a true daughter of the Village—born, raised, and now raising children of my own, here in Menomonee Falls.
As a child growing up in Menomonee Falls…
I learned civil engagement from my parents. My mom, Anne Weiland, served on the School Board from 2004 to 2009. I watched my mom lead the school board with dignity and with respect for everyone—respect for students, parents, the community, educators, and her fellow members. I remember the painstaking hours she spent gathering feedback from educators, parents, and the community, researching best practices, and ultimately making decisions that put students first.
Putting students first is my vision for the future school board.
As a student of Menomonee Falls High School…
I experienced firsthand the awesome dedication of our teachers, principals, and administrators. I would not be the person I am today without their patience, enthusiasm, and commitment to students. I also felt the amazing support and pride of parents and the community at large, especially in athletics and extracurricular activities. The community might not always agree, but we care deeply and we always show up for our students.
Caring deeply for students and always supporting them are strengths I want to amplify as a school board member.
As a professional and commercial litigator…
I put my Menomonee Falls education to good use. I earned my BA from the University of Minnesota and my law degree from Marquette University Law School, magna cum laude. Since 2013, I have been serving clients in Southeastern Wisconsin and beyond. As a commercial litigator, I find solutions—I take businesses’ most pressing, high-stakes, and complex problems and I resolve them. Often, my clients are best served by negotiation, compromise, and creative solutions. I always strive to conduct myself with integrity and civility. Even when the stakes are high, we can disagree without being disrespectful.
I am ready to collaborate with integrity and civility for our schools.
As a wife and mom…
I wanted to raise my family in a strong community. That’s why my husband Ryan and I moved our young family back to my childhood home, enjoying all the amenities that Menomonee Falls has to offer. We love the YMCA and Rec Programs. You can find me volunteering with the Menomonee Falls Pre-School Co-op, where I serve as the Vice President of the Board. You can find Ryan volunteer coaching and refereeing with the Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association and serving on the Menomonee Falls Architectural Review Board. Within this school board term, all three of our young children will attend school in the district.
We are deeply invested in the District and ready to serve.
